Summary
Under direct supervision of the Athletic Facility Supervisor, the Recreation Facilities Monitor is responsible for monitoring parks, athletic fields and facilities to ensure field assignment are compliant with assignments and safety procedures are followed. Serves as authority in settling disputes and authorizes corrective actions for disputes.

Essential Job Functions & Other Important Duties
Essential Job Functions:
- Monitors use of public parks and athletic fields to ensure the use is compliant with field and facility assignments, field reservations, settles reservation disputes and authorizes corrective action as needed.
- Ensures field and park participants are using the facilities in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Serves as authority to settle disagreements, disputes and/or disruptions regarding park and field usage issues.
- Provides information regarding City of Frisco ordinances and rules, regulations and operations standards of the Parks and Recreation Department, and requests enforcement as necessary.
- Responds to citizen complaints related to Parks and Recreation field services, programs and special events.
- Submits work orders to Parks Supervisor and Superintendent of issues regarding maintenance, operations, the general public and associations.
- Identifies existing or potential safety hazards and verifies maintenance and cleanliness deficiencies.
- Makes inspections of privatized services to verify compliance and communicates with supervisor to resolve any issues.
- Performs public relations duties in writing and/or verbally with citizens, associations, park users, other city departments and contractors.
- Prepares accident/incident reports when necessary.
Other Important Duties:
- Travels to work sites, meetings, conferences and training.
- Required to work some evenings and weekends.
- May be subject to working extended or split shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work hours is essential.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D., and two (2) years customer service or Parks and Recreation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess current CPR and First Aid Certification within six months from date of employment.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background, and MVR check.
- State of Texas Class C Driver’s License

Work performed is primarily:

- Equipment utilized includes personal computer, copier, calculator, fax machine, other standard office equipment, cellular telephone, heavy equipment, hand and power tools, and department vehicles.
