Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position will be to support our Archibus Coordinator with maintaining our campus wide space management system (Archibus). This includes ensuring quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of space data, entry of campus-wide data updates, space inventory walk-throughs of campus facilities to verify occupant information, and the coordination of information between the Office of Planning & Design and campus Finance and GIS teams. The position supports Planning & Design’s efforts related to strategic planning, data governance, space utilization and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing Archibus/GIS to prepare data and floor plan exports.
  • Assist with GIS and Archibus data integration.
  • Maintains electronic data integrity and shares data as requested by departments.
  • Be an active participant and contributor to our campus wide Archibus User Group.
  • Assist in training administrative users on the space management system to accurately audit, record, track, and report space allocations.
  • Assist in the preparation of graphics, floorplans, mapping, and data updates/exports, test-fits, and other planning tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Planning, Environmental Design, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
    • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with computer aided facilities management systems (preferably Archibus), or other database management systems.
  • Functional familiarity with AutoCAD, Adobe Design Suite, Microsoft Excel, & ArchGIS.
  • Understanding of building design and construction documentation.
  • Familiarity with working in a higher education environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both writing and oral.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $58,000 to $65,000.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
