Deloitte & Touche LLP seeks an Audit & Assurance Analytics Specialist Senior in New York, NY.
Work You’ll Do
Coordinate audit analytics and data visualization efforts using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modeling tools and technologies to produce analysis throughout the audit process. Assess and review findings to present recommendations to the audit team(s) to enable critical decision making. Drive the design of the approach to audit analytics. Review project deliverables to help ensure data integrity and project alignment. Work with Industry Professional Practice Directors (IPPD’s), Deloitte’s National Office, individual audit engagement teams, client personnel, and firm leadership to transform delivery of audit services to clients. Leverage advanced technology and leading practices specific to audit analytics and data visualization to drive strategic benefits in the areas of audit quality, efficiency, and value. Utilize the benefits of data warehousing, data architecture, table structure, fact and dimension tables, data modeling, reporting process metadata, and ETL processes to extract and transform data scattered across multiple sources. Assess trends and relationships identified in large data sets, and present findings to Managers and Senior Managers. Develop statistics and key metrics. Develop SQL, SAS, and R scripts and queries to join multiple data sets and verify for completeness and accuracy, and create queries and test scripts aimed at identifying transactional and operational patterns and emerging risks. Develop and test algorithms that provide more efficient and extensive population coverage, design and deploy data visualization dashboards to accompany financial results, findings, and published reports. Perform analysis using mean, variance, regression analysis, cluster analysis, standard deviation, correlations, and time series analysis to facilitate project multi-criteria decision making. Test and assess solutions developed through predictive analytics, cognitive analytics, or machine learning to address audit client issues.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
- Twelve months of experience developing data analysis and quantitative modeling structures within technical environments, including Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
- Experience must include one year of:
- Working with IT teams to identify and extract data from ERP systems, including SAP or Oracle, and from third-party actuarial systems
- Developing SQL, SAS, Python, and R scripts and queries, and running scripts to join multiple data sets and verify for completeness and accuracy;
- Developing and testing algorithms that provide more efficient and extensive population coverage and designing and supporting data visualization dashboards to accompany financial results, findings, and published reports;
- Developing queries and test scripts aimed at identifying transactional and operational patterns and emerging risks;
- Designing descriptive statistical data analysis using mean, variance, regression analysis, cluster analysis, standard deviation, correlations, and time series analysis; and
- Utilizing standard industry datasets to perform statistical analysis of financial data.
- Salary: $76,960.00 – $129,885.00/year
