Our client, an internationally integrated partnership, specializing in audit, accounting, and consulting group, is seeking an Audit Senior – Insurance Practice (Property & Casualty.

Job Description:

  • Our Audit practice seeks an experienced professional with strong technical skills, leadership capabilities and experience services clients in the Property and Casualty, Life and Health Insurance sectors, to join our National Insurance Services Audit team as an Audit Senior focused on Insurance clients – SEC and non-public carriers, managing general and captive agencies, and third-party administrators.
  • This is a national practice with a preference on the Pennsylvania and New York offices, but the position can take place in any Client office with a U.S. location.
  • We offer flexible work hours and locations: in office, remote, hybrid.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide a range of audit and advisory services, and business advice to a variety of clients in the Insurance sector
  • Plan audit objectives and determine an audit strategy with leadership that appropriately addresses inherent risk
  • Identify accounting and audit risks using US GAAP, NAIC Statutory, IFRS, accounting principles and US GAAS, IAS, and PCAOB auditing standards
  • Participate in audit procedures and assist in the completion of engagement fieldwork to ensure quality audit service, timely results, and within budget
  • Delegate assignments to other audit staff that provide learning and professional development opportunities, and provide coaching and engagement feedback
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and develop and sustain strong working relationships
  • Participate in client proposals and other new business development opportunities
  • Ensure self-professional development with technical specialization and on-going education
  • Understand the Insurance industry and recognize business trends, key performance drivers, and emerging developments that impact clients’ business needs

What We Seek:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a Business-related field
  • CPA license or eligible to complete the CPA exam
  • 3+ years of relevant financial audit experience in a CPA firm, a professional services firm, or an audit consulting practice
  • Prior work experience developing and executing audit strategies for the insurance industry
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, NAIC Statutory, IFRS, US GAAS, IAS, and PCAOB standards
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite tools and applications
  • Working knowledge of ProSystem Engagement and other audit software programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel to client locations as needed
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Salary: $90k-$115k
