Official Position Description:
In Capital Programs work unit under supervision & training, assists with a variety of planning activities involving bridge inspection & bridge inventory (e.g., performs field work on selected bridge locations to verify bridge inventory items; uses computer & related software (e.g., Assetwise) to enter bridge data into Bridge Management System (BMS); learns how to read bridge plans & how to use various software packages (e.g., Assetwise) used to collect bridge management data.
Performs miscellaneous duties to facilitate operational efficiency of work unit (e.g., researches plans & records; assists with necessary record keeping; maintains accurate data of work performed; organizes materials & compiles information to assist in report preparation; attends training as needed).
This is a temporary position involving various duties that will either supplement the student’s major field of study and/or provide experience that is useful addition to the student’s education and meaningful preparation for future professional employment.

Qualifications
Must currently be enrolled in a college or university and in good academic standing (2.0 GPA or above).
