The main tasks of this role will be to assist Project Managers and the development of drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, flood analyses, utility research work for various highway, roadway, rail, bridge and other civil engineering projects. The Assistant PM will collaborate with HDR staff to support project and staff development, as well as working with and managing sub-consultant work. Assistant PM duties will include working with clients and the project team for successful project delivery.

In the role of Assistant Project Manager, we’ll count on you to:

  • Coordinate work of multidiscipline teams throughout an entire project’s development, while under supervision of a Project Manager
  • Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project site in conjunction with all disciplines
  • Coordinate workload through entire project development and complete documents on schedule
  • Work with the Project Manager, Regional Controller and Department Manager or Managing Principal for project reviews with corporate management as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• A minimum of 5 years related experience
• Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skill
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position is $102,988 – $153,010 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
