Automotive Technician/Mechanic
Wage: $25.00 – $35/hr+ DOE
Shift: Full-time. Monday through Friday and some Saturdays; 7:00am – 3:30pm

Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance of Thanksgiving Point’s fleet and small motors
- Efficiently conduct preventative maintenance, inspection, service fluids, filters, lights, wipers, tires, and other minor services; Test, diagnose, and repair engines, ObdII computer and electrical systems, brakes, suspensions, tires, and drivetrains
- Clean and maintain vehicles
- Maintain adequate inventory of vehicle parts and supplies
- Address vehicle and small motor emergencies
- Precisely communicate needed repairs to Manager and Director
- Always maintain a professional appearance
- Maintain shop cleanliness
- Assist in maintaining equipment and tools to Thanksgiving Points standards
- Willing to work at a steady pace.
- Must have a positive attitude and rise to challenging situations.
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Support and uphold Thanksgiving Point’s Mission, Values and Policies
Qualifications
- Completion of an Automotive Technology course is a plus
- Ability to service multiple makes and models, Ford is a must.
- ASE certification is preferred.
- Capable of performing lubrications, oil changes, maintenance, tire services and inspections
- Must be able to operate equipment such as overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns, transmission machine, air conditioner service machine, radiator service machine, hand tools and basic shop equipment
- Physical requirements include: lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds, push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate professionally and kindly with others
- Willing and able to work at a steady pace.
- Must have a positive attitude and rise to challenging situations.
- Possess a valid driver’s license w/good driving record
- Must be able to work in all kinds of weather conditions
- 3-5 years of vehicle and small motors maintenance experience
- Must pass a background check
