Overview
National and Alamo has an exciting opportunity for a full time ASE Certified Automotive Technician at our Service Center at LAX in Inglewood, CA! The Automotive Technician performs car and bus service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and buy back/turn back service according to company policy and procedures. This is a position of routine difficulty requiring the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards.This position requires four valid ASE automotive certificates.
This position is based at National/Alamo at LAX with starting pay is $30.00/hour, $1.00/hr increase for each additional ASE up to 10 additional. This is a Union position. Schedule based on a shift bid, 7-days a week operation (based on shift bid). Apart from religious observances, must have open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Ensure that all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturers specifications and guidelines.
- Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Types of repairs will include brakes, onboard computer diagnostic and drivability, suspension and tires.
- Perform in-fleet servicing on new cars according to company procedures as required.
- Perform reconditioning repairs on sales vehicles and deletes according to company procedures as required.
- Perform vehicle servicing/repairing to maintain company standards.
- Maintain the work area in a safe and clean condition.
- Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Certification from an accredited automotive technical or trade school OR a minimum of three years of technical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles.
- 4+ current and valid ASE certifications required
- Must have experience using repair shop testing and service equipment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and have the ability to lift, carry, push or pull a variety of tools, equipment and materials; and balance, stoop, kneel and crouch (medium duty labor).
- A minimum of basic level experience and understanding of a PC and Microsoft Office Products required
- Understanding of GM, Ford, Dodge, Toyota, and Chrysler warranty procedures is a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- Apart from religious observances,must have open availability nights and weekends
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment 10 Panel drug test
- This position requires a Valid Driver’s License
