Job Overview:

LPL Financial is seeking an AVP, Real Estate Transaction Manager to lead transaction management and integration in support of Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) across multiple business lines. This individual will be responsible for staying current on real estate market trends, using business acumen to assess financial and qualitative viability of site alternatives, and overseeing outside service provider resources to drive desired business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide deep corporate real estate expertise and value throughout the diligence and integration of real estate related to M&A activity.
  • Provide critical review of all real estate diligence items including leases, amendments, subleases, estoppels, subordination and non-disturbance agreements, operating expense statements and reconciliations.
  • Develop and execute market strategies for acquired locations that contemplate the broader portfolio strategy, including market analysis, site evaluation and site selection as well as any related negotiation of letters of intent for renewals, extensions, terminations and subleases.
  • Effectively document and communicate trade-offs, constraints, and options to support informed decision-making.
  • Closely collaborate with third party real estate brokers, as well as internal stakeholders within the business operations, legal, finance, accounting, to ensure a positive advisor experience and highly successful transitions.
  • Oversee integration of new locations, leading the coordination and engagement of Lease Administration, Project Management, Corporate Security, and Facilities Management to ensure a successful transition and positive advisor experience.
  • Innovate and execute processes and tools to ensure timely, consistent and predictable execution of the diligence and site integration process and related work streams.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA in Finance, Real Estate, Business
  • 7+ years of corporate real estate experience with proven expertise in lease negotiations, transaction management, site selection, and analytics.
  • Experience managing a portfolio ranging from serviced office agreements up to large multi-floor, multi-building campuses.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) Adobe, SharePoint and tools such as Google Earth and/or other mapping software.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of time.

  • Proven ability to effectively negotiate with landlords, oversee real estate broker performance, and manage multiple stakeholders with different priorities
  • Must have strong communication and negotiation skills, both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated success in establishing relationships and collaborating cross-functionally both inside and outside the organization, including with senior leadership
  • Analytical, with excellent problem solving skills, and demonstrated experience managing and prioritizing complex tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Intellectually curious and strategic thinker
  • Strong organization skills, results orientation, and passion for being detail-oriented
  • Self-driven with an ability to work independently to deliver project outcomes and manage milestones, taking ownership and accountability for results
  • The ability to analyze multiple sources of complex information and evaluate several alternative solutions before recommending a path forward
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry and dynamics of the financial advisor profession

Preferences:

  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Corporate real estate M&A experience
  • MCR, SLCR, or other relevant industry certifications

Pay Range:
$93,640-$140,460/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
