Job Description
Directs and oversees the development of Private Equity fund strategy, governance, diligence, portfolio construction, monitoring, performance reporting and attribution for leadership approval. Drives Private Equity programs and initiatives that support system goals and meet or exceed policy benchmarks, or strategic vision. Works closely with the Health System’s Investment Committee and external consultants in leading the Health System’s Private Equity fund investments.
Job Responsibility
• Leads the development of Northwell’s annual and long-term investment strategy enterprise wide private equity funds, in partnership with and as a trusted advisor for the Private Equity Subcommittee and Private Equity consultant. • Directs team by providing guidance on manager selection/diligence, presenting recommendations and reporting investment performance.
• Works as a key member of the Treasury Investment team and interacts seamlessly across the Northwell organization and Senior Leadership in various functional areas.
• Applies modern portfolio strategy, risk management, performance attribution, valuation techniques, commitment pacing to the investment portfolio. Implements Treasury and/or Investment “best practices.”
• Negotiates investment management agreements, guidelines, limited partnership agreements, side letters, amendments and other related documents.
• Has direct impact on costs and achievement of objectives for the scope of management and a substantial impact on the several functions. • Presents the annual Private Equity fund investment strategy to the full Investment Committee and internal Senior Leadership.
• Develops and implements strategic plans for the scope of management that are aligned with the overall business strategy across multiple disciplines.
• Utilizing fact-based analytical tools to solve substantially complex issues and uses advanced knowledge to implement solutions with long term impact.
• Manages the successful execution of strategic plans for Private Equity funds via manager selection & regular performance reviews /provides investment recommendations to Trustees and senior management.
• Provides direction to senior and middle managers.
• Uses strong analytical/intellectual skills, business acumen, available data and attention to details across multiple problem-solving tools and techniques to solve complex problems, providing perspective and experience to arrive at optimal solutions.
• Assists in career development planning for team members, provides guidance and direction to managers as appropriate.
• Responsible for significant areas(s) of the system, responsible for financial planning and budgeting for the scope of management.
• Acts as a key advisor to senior leadership on the development of overall policy and long-term goals of management.
Job Qualification
• Master’s Degree, CFA, or equivalent combination of education and related experience, required.
• 10-12 years of relevant experience, required, 7+ years of leadership / management experience, preferred.
• All licensures and certifications needed for function and level, if any.

The salary range for this position is $166,500-$291,400/year
