AWS Sr. Security TPM, Amazon Security Corporate Architecture and Design

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security is looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented technical program manager for the AWS Security team. AWS Security Corporate Architecture and Design is responsible for driving innovative enhancements that raise the bar for how AWS employees interact with resources, systems, and data. This team dives deep into security technologies related to productivity tooling such as authentication/authorization systems, identity management, system hardening, and massive-scale audit analysis. The objective of this program is to raise the security bar for productivity tooling used by Amazonians globally.

AWS is looking for Security TPMs to ensure that our infrastructure operates to the highest standards required to maintain and enhance internal and external customer trust. If you enjoy leading teams of engineers and developers analyzing, engineering, and architecting system services, custom services, COTS products, networks, infrastructure applications, and you are skilled at organizing, driving, and communicating laterally and upwards to management, this position will provide you with a challenging opportunity in solving complex and far-reaching problems. A successful candidate will have a good mix of deep technical security knowledge and a demonstrated track record of successful complex and large scale project deliveries.

Location can either be Herndon, VA or Seattle, WA.

Key job responsibilities

Work in tandem with internal Amazon and AWS service teams to improve internal and external services.

Respond to and coordinate related security consultations and inquiries.

Influence service teams across Amazon to develop systems and processes with security best practices.

Support large-scale security projects and initiatives.

Work closely with internal service teams and other program managers.

Develop and mentor other Security TPMs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
