The Associate Director, ERC Patient Services Advisor will support effective management of risks presented by Patient and Specialty Services strategies across all US therapeutic areas and products, and Novartis Patient Assistance Foundation (NPAF) through collaborative development of risk-based monitoring plans and review of business requirements documents (BRDs) related to patient support programs to ensure implementation of patient support programs is in compliance with applicable Novartis policies, procedures and CIA requirements. The Associate Director, ERC Patient Services Advisor will provide clear, timely and accurate ERC guidance, including the ‘why’ to Patient Services teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about both enabling compliant patient support programs and Patient Services strategies and ensuring ERC guidance to Patient Services teams is clear and actionable.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Collaborate with Patient Services teams to develop and implement risk-based monitoring plans and review of business requirements documents (BRDs) related to patient support programs to ensure implementation of patient support programs is in compliance with applicable Novartis policies, procedures and CIA requirements.
• Execute strategies to integrate clear and actionable ERC guidance into patient support programs, Patient Services operations and training strategies across US therapeutic areas and products, including NPAF activities.
• Collaborate with Patient Services stakeholders (eg serve on Patient Services Governance processes) to ensure execution of Patient Services strategies is in compliance with applicable Novartis policies, procedures and CIA requirements.
• Be a knowledge expert related to Novartis healthcare compliance policies, procedures and CIA requirements and how they apply to associates’ roles and responsibilities throughout of the US organization.
• Proactively engage with Ops/Analytics teams supporting patient support programs and Patient Services teams to evaluate data to identify trends and proactively mitigate key and/or emerging risks
• Develop trusted relationships with associates of all levels in Patient Services teams to promote a SpeakUp culture and proactively identify areas where ERC policies may be unclear or confusing and collaborate with ERC and Patient Services team stakeholders to resolve them.
• Collaborate with Patient Services leaders and teams to strengthen a positive culture towards compliance and ethical decision making as an integral part of how we reimagine medicine for patients

Minimum Requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s Degree is required in relevant area
• 5+ years in pharmaceutical, medical device or biotech companies; consulting, compliance or legal counseling of pharmaceutical, medical device or biotech companies; or combination thereof, including 2+ years in or counseling patient-oriented strategies
Preferred:
• MBA or other relevant advanced degree / certification preferred
• 2+ years in compliance, legal or regulatory counseling for pharmaceutical, medical device or biotech companies

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $151,200 and $226,800/ year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/22 through 12/31/22, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
