THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEED.
NATURE OF WORK:
Conduct thorough investigations into the backgrounds of perspective candidates for police officer. Research, compile and organize data, investigate discrepancies and/or questionable information to be presented to the Chief of Police. Generate, receive, and maintain confidential and sensitive files, information and reports and ensure security of files. A confidentiality agreement shall be completed. Work is performed under general supervision and performance is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through reports, discussions, and results obtained.
Minimum Requirements
Associate’s degree in background investigations with six months experience required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. PC and office equipment knowledge required. A valid Florida Driver’s License is required. A background investigation certification from the State of Florida is required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Required to pass police background investigation, which includes a polygraph.
VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE SUBMITTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT.
