The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm’s books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley’s various businesses and its senior management team.

Our Business Resource Management (BRM) desk within the Finance team is currently seeking an Associate/Director role to join the consolidated global management reporting team.

The position requires a motivated individual with strong analytical, technology, people and communication skills. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the BRM – P&L, Balance Sheet, and Projects. Accurate, adaptive, and timely senior management reporting is critical to conversations around resource optimization, firm liquidity requirements, and funding allocations.

BRM manages the firm’s secured funding business and as such, the candidate will socialize across a broad range of Sales and Trading, Regulatory, Treasury controllers as well as global BRM business heads.

Responsibilities:

– You will gain an understanding of Morgan Stanley Business Resource Management desk and structure in order to accurately respond to frequent revenue and B/S queries.

– You will collaborate on ad hoc projects to improve efficiency and accuracy in our daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly processe

– You will interact with various groups across the firm including the trading desk, operations, technology, regulatory and legal entity controllers, market/credit risk controllers.

– You will assist on the evaluation and implementation of process improvements and automation strategie

Qualifications:

Qualifications – External

– Basic/Average accounting/finance knowledge

– Strong interest with Financial Markets and Product

– An active, enthusiastic team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

– Strong analytical, technical and organizational skills with high regard for detail and accuracy

– Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

– Able to multi-task in a timely, effective and organized manner

– Proficient/Expert in Excel, PowerPoint.

– Basic/Average familiarity of Tableau/Alteryx, preferred.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
