Beer Server| Part-Time| Momentum Bank Ballpark

Overview

The Beer Server is responsible for serving beer/ wine and must be personable, professional and able to work in an ever changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work long hours if needed or when business needs dictate.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $8.50 to $13.50.

Responsibilities

  • Must demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in customer service, interacting with guests in a friendly and fast manner; ensuring guests complete satisfaction and exceeding their expectations.
  • The Beer Server should have extensive knowledge in all aspects of beer in order to sell and serve drinks in a professional manner that achieves Company service and quality standards.
  • Acknowledge all guests, anticipate guest’s needs, and respond promptly to guests; however busy.
  • Entering and completing guest’s orders on a point-of-sale computer system; accepting various types of payment.
  • Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers’ excessive drinking by taking steps such as discontinuing alcohol service and notifying management of potential problem(s).
  • Responsibly serves alcoholic beverages in accordance with Company, Federal, State, and local policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
  • Working in a team environment with the ability to be a team player.
  • Responsible for completing an accurate closing inventory of product.
  • Assures and maintains cleanliness of bar and surrounding area throughout the day, assures the area is operable
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards at work.
  • Must check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages. Refusing to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age or have an expired ID.
  • Follow company’s guidelines for serving any beer/wine in appropriate cup size.
  • Request additional product or restock product as required
  • Other duties as assigned such as set-up and breakdown of bar equipment as required and assisting with organization of the cooler.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the team member is standing the entire shift.

Qualifications

  • 2 years or more experience of full-service restaurant or beer server in a similar level of volume with knowledge of beer.
  • Must have alcohol and food certifications as required by local, state, or federal laws.
  • Take pride in personal appearance; reporting to work in neat and clean clothing; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by Company policy.
  • Must have knowledge of various beers, wines, and spirits.
  • Must maintain excellent attendance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time; work long hours if needed.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must have ability to remain stationary for long periods of up to (4) hours in length; must be able to safely reach, bend, stop and frequently lift up to 25lbs.
