Systems Integrator/Project Manager

Responsibilities

In support of a Department, a successful candidate will provide Systems Integration (SI) and Project Management (PM) support in a fast-paced and dynamic customer environment. Responsibilities include full project lifecycle support; creation of project documentation; ensuring readiness of material for reviews; advising and participating in applicable meetings with senior government personnel; tracking individual project schedules and project financial status; providing project assessments; providing input for requirement development ensuring requirements are clear, specific, verifiable and are assigned achievable due dates; ensuring stability of baseline for all projects and reporting issues and concerns to Department leadership in a timely manner. The SI/PM will be required to create requirements documents and SOPs, proactively contribute to insights to improve mission performance by applying technical insight and end-to-end systems engineering for mission success and identify process improvements in a process-lite environment, tailored to the group and where applicable.

The SI/PM will also be required to review projects and provide timely input to the customer on issues that arise. The SI must be proactive and able to work independently with minimal guidance as the individual will be expected to respond to spontaneous customer management requests for project status updates.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Integrating activities between the customer, team leads, Front Office SI and contractor teams
  • Ensuring technical requirements accurately match customer needs
  • Evaluation of documentation for accuracy towards mission and contract
  • Working across the Department to assist in gathering meaningful response to actions and taskers
  • Assisting the customer in its efforts to strengthen system practices by reviewing and re-baselining requirements and supporting documentation
  • Assisting the customer in its efforts to improve processes for managing segment changes and discrepancies

Customer is unique in organizational structure and governance, and has a wide range of products and stakeholders across the US government. The SI/PM is fully embedded at the customer location, and work side-by-side with their customer leads. The position currently requires only minimal travel within WMA; CONUS and OCONUS travel is not anticipated but is possible.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of project management practices, awareness of and ensuring compliance to customer processes
  • Identification of deficiencies/opportunities in schedules/dependencies
  • Strong understanding of project financial tracking
  • Experience required for analyzing current processes, drafting to-be processes, and implementing process improvements to achieve efficiencies
  • Proven record of building positive relationships with customers at all levels, as well as serve effectively as the customer’s representative in dealing with mission partners, contractor teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to advise and participate in technical reviews, capture minutes and tracking action items to completion
  • Familiar with and experienced in the customer’s classified mission responsibilities
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
  • Candidate must possess extensive knowledge of MS Office tools
  • Ability to adapt to constantly changing and very fluid environment
  • Must be proactive and able to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10-12 years of applicable experience, Master’s Degree and 8-10 years of applicable experience, or PhD and 5-7 years of applicable experience
  • Top Secret/SCI w/Poly

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with customer financial system
  • Familiarity with requirements tracking tool
  • Familiarity with cable writing and cable databases

Range for Posting

Salary Minimum: $72,500
Salary Mid: $145,000
Salary Maximum: $181,300
