Description
Job Summary: The role of a beach attendant is to provide equipment such as chairs and umbrellas to hotel guest for them to enjoy while on the beach. This role is responsible for ensuring the beach is prepped and ready for you to escort the guests to their preferred area

Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup of tables, chairs, tents, and umbrellas
- Greet guests in a friendly helpful manner
- Lead guests to beach setup and assist with any requests they may have
- Keep work area tidy and organized
- Assist guest with related questions and concerns
- Assist guest with minor emergencies, first aid, major emergencies requiring a lifeguard or a call to 911 emergency services
- Monitor and maintain appearance of beach
- Properly store equipment when not in use
- Load and transport beach equipment and towels prior to each shift
- Collect all beach equipment and soiled towels at the end of shift
- Follow company policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- CPR certification (can obtain after employment)
- Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
- Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in basic English is preferred
- Some experience in customer service is strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Detail oriented and thorough
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way
- Ability to assist guests?courteously and efficiently?
- Ability to retain and enforce safety procedures
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift/carry 50 LBS
- Must be able to work in the sun/heat for long periods of time
- Must be able to navigate through sand while carrying heavy objects
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to extreme heat and direct sunlight on the beach
- Exposure to lose footing from sand
- Exposure to unexpected weather elements such as wind and rain
