Lockheed Martin Space is looking for a Mission Analyst to join a diverse group of engineers with a wide range of technical expertise. Together, the team models spacecraft and payload capabilities to perform trade studies, and verify mission performance. The responsibilities of this position include:
– Performing spacecraft orbit-to-target geometry related analysis.
– Participating in the development and operational support of payload related calibrations. This would involve designing algorithms/tools for spacecraft tasking, data collection, and data processing to determine pointing correction/compensation parameters.
– Creating unique, or modifying existing, software tools to execute program specific analysis
– Documenting analysis results and verification of analysis tools
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team in a fast-paced environment is an absolute necessity. The successful candidate is a self-starter who can prioritize and manage multiple tasks to completion.
** Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI level clearance is a requirement for this position. **
Typically has 5 – 9 years of professional experience.
Basic Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
– Prior modeling, simulation and analysis experience related to spacecraft mission analysis
– Experience with Systems Tool Kit (STK) or equivalent analysis tools that support orbit integration/propagation, payload sensor modeling, and access metric assessment
– Experience with MS Office applications and excellent written and oral communication skills
– Final Top Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
– 3+ years experience with Systems Tool Kit (STK)
– Familiarity with Matlab
– Familiarity with Least Squares Filtering concepts/algorithms
– Familiarity with the principles of Astrodynamics
– Active TS/SCI clearance is preferred

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $82,200 – $157,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
