H2M Architects + Engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm in the NY Metropolitan Area seeks a BIM Program Manager to join our Melville team.
The BIM Program Manager will be working under the BIM/CAD Compliance Manager and will assist in leading the BIM/CAD Technicians and the BIM/CAD Specialist. Together, you will create, develop, maintain and implement standards, systems and training for the H2M CORE of Excellence’s BIM/CAD initiatives across all H2M disciplines, markets, and offices.

Job Responsibilities:
The BIM Program Manager will be responsible to ensure that the development and implementation of BIM initiatives address company needs and objectives and that H2M BIM standards and learning opportunities support BIM users throughout the organization. Specifically, the BIM Program Manager will focus on the following:
BIM/CAD Standards
- Work with assigned representatives from each discipline and studio to develop and reinforce standards to refine the BIM models and C3D/CAD structures.
- Ensure maintenance of standards in creating all REVIT models and CAD drawings while supporting design teams.
- Oversee the creation of Revit families in response to project needs. Ensure practical standards are in place for others who create Revit families on H2M projects.
BIM/CAD Training and Visibility
- Coordinate in-house and external resources for training and implementation, focusing on conducting training for users, new employees, project BIM/CAD coordinators, and project managers.
- Provide technical orientation to new hires regarding BIM model tools and CAD standards.
- Become a trusted advisor on all aspects of BIM in every department of the firm.
- Schedule and regularly visit one H2M office at least monthly to assist in advancing the Core of Excellence initiatives so that each office is seen at least once a year.
- Cultivate leaders among the production practice groups and studios. Bring clarity to what point corporate standards training goes, and beyond that, facilitate discipline-specific training programs within the various practice groups and studios.
BIM/CAD Project Effort
- Act as BIM Coordinator / Specialist on projects to assist with departmental needs.
- Resolve conflicts as they come up between the design and construction documents and the project’s intent per specification and contract requirements.
- Meet utilization goals for billable time assistance to projects and provide project excellence.
- Conduct Electronic Integrity Reviews (EIR’s) for projects and assist team members with correcting identified issues.
- Ensure clash detection on all BIM projects by overseeing clash detection templates, conducting clash detection on projects, and training groups on effective clash detection for their projects.
- Audit projects for Revit usage and whether BIM exceptions have been properly filed.
- BIM/CAD Advancements and Initiatives
- Assist in monitoring industry trends and stay apprised of available and evolving Digital Design platforms, ensuring H2M architects + engineers utilize the latest and best solutions.
- Assist other CORE of Excellence members with CORE initiatives.
- Advance the initiatives of H2M’s CORE of Excellence.
- Work integral to the Core of Excellence team aligned with H2M’s mission, vision, and values.
- Implement the initiatives from the BIM/CAD Compliance Manager and Director of Operations.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, or related field is preferred.
- Revit / Autodesk Professional Certification preferred.
- Must have an in-depth working knowledge of Autodesk design software. (REVIT/C3D)
- Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
- Possess knowledge of PC software and programs and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work well with others, take direction, and work independently.
- Must have the ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed and determine and manage priorities independently.
- Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethics and uphold our company values.
- Willingness to learn and collaborate to work in a team environment.
- Interest in keeping up with the latest software updates and innovations.
