BIM/VDC specialist

Job Description

Mott MacDonald is hiring a BIM/VCD specialist in our Digital Twin Solutions group. This person will work alongside other talented individuals to support engineering project teams throughout North America on proposals, planning, startup, and delivery tasks. We are looking for a candidate to join us as we implement progressive technology and digital twin solutions to streamline the engineering design process.
The project delivery support ensures the best tools and systems framework are configured and deployed based on project requirements and company goals for innovation.
This person will support projects while learning about engineering delivery and fostering skills in 3D modeling, information management, and data science workflows.

Job responsibilities will include the following:

  • Work with BIM software to employ related protocols and standards
  • Assist with project management, information management, and modeling
  • Run QA/QC support on current project delivery workflows

Candidate Specification

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or similar) or Architecture with an eagerness to work on the technology planning and implementation side of project delivery
  • 3- 5 years’ experience
  • Knowledge of Autodesk 2D and 3D modeling, including but not limited to AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to develop efficient workflows that improve analog methodologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, in an organized manner, self-prioritizing workload accordingly
  • Team player skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with 2D and 3D Bentley software
  • Experience with ProjectWise
  • Knowledge in 3D modelling using Dynamo
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Interoperability Tools
  • Autodesk tools powered by Autodesk Cloud Services (ACS) (formerly Forge)
  • Experience with PowerBI or similar
  • Experience with file sharing interoperability between digital environments
  • Knowledge of GIS tools such as ESRI ArcGIS Pro
  • Knowledge of any programming language, preferable Java script and/or Python

Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000
