Bulldog Print + Design serves as the primary printer for the University of Georgia. As a cost-recovery unit, our mission is to support the educational goals of the University by providing high-quality products at competitive prices. Our team has the unique opportunity to connect with a wide array of members in our campus community through ongoing innovation, creative design and personalized customer service. Our services include graphic design, large format printing, digital publications, promotional items and much more. Design ServicesOur experienced team of graphic designers will guide customers through the design process, turning their concepts into thoughtfully-crafted, finished pieces that are ready for distribution. The creative team thrives to create purposeful projects that connect with a target audience, yielding greater results for our customers.
PrintingBulldog Print + Design offers a variety of printing and bindery options to meet the specific requirements of any project. Our printing estimators will provide customers with options and expertise to ensure that we are producing the best possible end result for every project.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, formal training programs, or on-the-job training. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have the ability to perform basic mathematics, including additions, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Training and experience in a digital printing environment to include printing cost estimation, computerized inventory, and bookkeeping methods
• Strong customer service skills, including communicating via telephone and email with customers
• Experience communicating and submitting files to suppliers as well as understanding their requirements
• Knowledge of paper, printing products, printing and binding services

Position Summary

Work includes coordinating bindery/finishing services with the digital printing staff. Assist with equipment demonstrations and process training for new and current staff. Work closely with Mail and Receiving staff to coordinate delivery of print projects. Maintain quality control standards; utilize internal checklists for stocks, special details and packing instruction.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and practices of book binding.
  • Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the binding industry.
  • Ability to understand follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to keep routine records.
  • Ability to operate and perform minor repairs on bindery equipment.

  • Operate various bindery equipment for the purpose of cutting, folding, saddle stitching, collating, and perfect binding printed items.
