Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)- Foundation School of Autism – Plano

Position Summary:

Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to provide comprehensive behavior analysis services to students in schools.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification

  • Master’s Degree in applied behavior analysis (ABA) or a related program
  • Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

Experience

  • Minimum one year working after BCBA certification
  • Experience working with students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities
  • Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conducted functional behavioral assessments and write reports summarizing results.
  • Develop positive behavior support plans utilizing evidence-based interventions.
  • Train staff on positive behavior support plans, instructional programs & monitor fidelity.
  • Develop tools and work with staff to collect progress-monitoring data on behavioral goals.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of student data and make programming adjustments as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized services directed toward the development enhancement of skills necessary for emotional, cognitive, behavioral, language, & social goals of the student.
  • Accurately completes all required documentation and data collection daily.
  • Assists teachers in developing strategies for reinforcing skills based on understanding of the individual student, his/her needs, interests, and abilities.
  • Assist teachers in day to day staff training for targeted behavioral needs.
  • Train teachers to implement antecedent strategies to prevent occurrence of target
  • behaviors, as well as de-escalation strategies if target behaviors occur
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Maintains high level of ethical behavior / confidentiality
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge with secondary emotional support individuals
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive skills in behavioral assessment and positive behavior support plan development
  • Extensive knowledge of data analysis – Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team atmosphere
  • Experience working with students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities
