Position Summary:
Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to provide comprehensive behavior analysis services to students in schools.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
- Master’s Degree in applied behavior analysis (ABA) or a related program
- Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Experience
- Minimum one year working after BCBA certification
- Experience working with students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducted functional behavioral assessments and write reports summarizing results.
- Develop positive behavior support plans utilizing evidence-based interventions.
- Train staff on positive behavior support plans, instructional programs & monitor fidelity.
- Develop tools and work with staff to collect progress-monitoring data on behavioral goals.
- Provide ongoing monitoring of student data and make programming adjustments as needed.
- Assist in the implementation of individualized services directed toward the development enhancement of skills necessary for emotional, cognitive, behavioral, language, & social goals of the student.
- Accurately completes all required documentation and data collection daily.
- Assists teachers in developing strategies for reinforcing skills based on understanding of the individual student, his/her needs, interests, and abilities.
- Assist teachers in day to day staff training for targeted behavioral needs.
- Train teachers to implement antecedent strategies to prevent occurrence of target
- behaviors, as well as de-escalation strategies if target behaviors occur
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Maintains high level of ethical behavior / confidentiality
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Extensive knowledge with secondary emotional support individuals
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive skills in behavioral assessment and positive behavior support plan development
- Extensive knowledge of data analysis – Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team atmosphere
- Experience working with students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities
