VVG is looking for a Body Shop Paint Prepper to join our team in Ontario, CA for following hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm!
What You’ll Do:
The Body Shop Paint Prepper performs painting prepping services for trucks and commercial vehicles involved in collisions and performs body restoration assistance work when needed. The Paint Prepper is responsible for preparing repaired vehicles for refinishing and assisting Paint Technicians’ with their work.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- A Sanding, masking, priming vehicle parts and keeping Painters aware of work progress
- Disassembling and assembling vehicle body parts pre and post painting
- Must adhere to safety / OSHA guidelines and use required safety protection
- Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from vehicle surfaces in preparation for paint application
- May assist Paint Technician with blending as needed
- Maintains tools and equipment in a safe manner
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- More than one (1) years’ of automotive paint experience
- Ability to use wide range of tools and equipment to assess and prepare vehicles for painting
- Free range of motion in their hands and arms to work with small parts and small spaces
- Able to assess damage and determine how to engage the initial paint process
Compensation:
- Hourly $17-$19/hr. depending on experience and qualifications
- Full Time position

- Must have adequate balance and ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
