Job Summary
We are looking for a Breeder Technician to join our Insourcing Solutions team, located in Cambridge, MA.

In the Breeder Technician role, you can do that by maintaining, monitoring, and documenting the health, production, and environments of the animals, which directly contributes towards the integrity of the research.

What you will do!
In the Breeder Technician role, you will conduct breeding activities and provide colony management to ensure appropriate production levels are met. You will also perform animal husbandry duties to maintain quality and health of research animals, which includes, but not limited to performing cage changing and/or cage cleaning as required; report animal health concerns per SOP and/or specified protocols, organize and manage supplies. In addition, you will maintain accurate records of animal breeding, health, weaning schedule, and pedigree. You will also assist in weaning, monitoring colony population and breeding, tissue sampling, ear tagging and euthanizing under direct supervision.
Who Are We Looking For?
A candidate that possesses a high school diploma or GED, in addition to 2 years of directly related work experience in laboratory animal husbandry and technical skills as detailed above or Bachelor of Science degree in a Life Science discipline or CVT/LVT/RVT certification and 1 year directly related work experience in laboratory animal husbandry and technical skills as detailed above.
The pay range for this position is $30.00 to 33.00 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
