ABOUT THE JOB!
As a member of our brine manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating a crane to remove cheese wheels from our brine tanks. You will palletize cheese wheels to drying racks and use forklift to transfer cheese wheels to other production areas with responsibility of cleaning and sanitizing work area.
- Complies with all company Safety, HACCP and GMP polices.
- Immediately reports any food safety or quality issues to management or other individuals authorized to initiate action.
- Monitors, maintains and records brine temperature, proper salinity, sorbate levels, solution depth and pH.
- Maintains and documents accurate wheel weights and counts.
- Removes wheel from hoop.
- Assigns cheese wheels to proper brine tank and documents assignments.
- Loads cheese wheels in and out of brine tanks using overhead crane and brine cages.
- Maintain accurate vat locations of brine tanks, coordinates storage space and rotation of product.
- Place wheels on racks and transfer wheels of cheese to other production areas using forklift.
- Heat treats brine to control microbial activity.
- Cleans and sanitizes brine tanks, brine racks, brine room and equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Cool+ Wet
PAY: $18.35 base wage + $2.00 shift premium = $20.35/hr.
WORK SCHEDULE: 4 days per week/10 hour shifts (7pm -5am)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
18 years old, required
High school diploma or equivalency, preferred.
Food manufacturing experience, desirable.
