Currently a vacancy exists for a Budget Coordinator within the Student Services division at the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This position provides fiscal management support to the Directors and Program Administrators of the Division of Student Services for over 100 budgets. This position supports the Directors and 19 supervisory staff in the preparation of budgets and annual pricing for all marketplace programs in the divisions.

The CCIU is currently offering a sign on bonus of up to $1,500 for candidates who apply and are subsequently hired for a position between March 16, 2023, and October 31, 2023. More information will be shared with eligible individuals at the time of hire.
Summary of position:
- monitors, analyzes, and advises program administrators regarding the fiscal status of individual budgets, provides financial projections, provides cost analysis of proposed services, and prepares interim and year end financial reports for internal and external requirements.
- develops pricing for services to districts, including both marketplace pricing and special pricing.
- is responsible for all aspects of the Medical Assistance School-Based ACCESS program including electronic and manual billing, revenue, expenditures, reporting, and budgeting
- supervises the purchasing activities of Student Services.
- supervises the Student Services data coordinators.
- works with numerous individuals in other divisions to facilitate accurate data and increased understanding.
- coordinates the development of budget documents and submission of budgets to the Business Office.
- continually monitors and analyzes the status of program finances and liaisons with the Business Office on all matters related to pricing of services, accurate and timely billing, and assists in financial activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of five years supervisory experience in business office, financial services, public agency, or similar environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, spreadsheet and database management, and presentation software.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all aspects of Student Services Division budgets, financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and problem solving for budgets exceeding $194 million.
- Responsible for quality control and fiscal integrity of Student Services budgets, expenditures and revenue.
- Develops pricing and cost analysis for special services to districts and supervises the creation of agreements for these services.
- Collaborates and problem solves with the Business Office in matters of budgets, analysis, financial reporting, and forecasting.
- Coordinates the development of annual marketplace budgets and pricing for submission to the Business Office, Executive Director, and Board review.
- Prepares, analyzes, and monitors the annual Student Services budget books, budgets, and pricing.
- Supervises School Based ACCESS Medical Assistance staff and billing, revenue, and budgets associated with the program.

Salary:
Project, Band 16, 260 days/12 months. Range (annual): $78,502 – $98,128*
*Placement on salary range based on years of full-time experience in equivalent position.
