Job Duties

This position operates and maintains farm, construction, and power equipment and instructs inmates on proper operations and maintenance. Equipment operation is to support the farm operation as well as general construction projects. The position will ensure modern agricultural and mechanical techniques are being implemented to ensure efficient operations and to provide training opportunities for the inmate population.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License. Heavy equipment operation Experience in one or more of the following areas: equipment maintenance, automotive mechanics, landscaping, construction carpentry, and welding. Experience or demonstrated ability to operate farm and construction equipment to include tractor, loader, backhoe, skid steer, and excavator. Experience or demonstrated ability to operate power and construction tools.
