Enterprise Holdings has an exciting opportunity for an ASE Certified Diesel Technician. This position is located at our Service Center – 7001 Essington Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19153.
The pay for this position starts at $30 / hour. Earn an additional $1.50 per hour for additional ASE certifications up to $39 / hour

We are currently hiring for our 2nd shift.
- Monday – Friday: 3:00pm – 11:00pm
The Diesel Bus/Truck Technician is a skilled position that requires the ability to perform bus and medium duty diesel truck mechanical and warranty repairs, as well as diagnose and troubleshoot driving problems, according to company policy and procedures. This is a position of routine difficulty requiring the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. This position requires the technician to have a minimum of four company approved ASE Certifications as well as manufacturer required training in order to perform warranty repairs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all warranty and mechanical repairs are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.
- Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs.
- Perform routine and annual DOT required repairs and inspections.
- Read and interpret diagnostic test results, often by using dials, gauges, and other computer equipment.
- Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles.
- Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts.
- Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.
- Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.
- Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools.
- May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs.
- Participate in company and manufacturer approved training or other industry related training.
- Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards.
- Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a minimum of two years of mechanical experience working on buses or medium duty trucks.
- Must have a minimum of four (4) ASE certifications required in approved area of expertise.
- Degree in Automotive Technology, Completion of Automotive Technical College or Technical/vocational training preferred.
- Must have a current and valid drivers license
- CDL A or B as well as the passenger and air-brake endorsements required
- Applicants will be required to successfully complete a DOT medical examination
- Ability to operate manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
- Must be able understand, read, write, and speak English.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- Subject to a pre-employment drug test and if hired, will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
