Job Summary
The Business Analysis Team Leader will play a key strategic role in leading and identifying opportunities to streamline the Fleet Capital Planning and Equipment Specification processes across the UOS Transportation Services department. The positon will be responsible for conducting the forecasting, budgetary planning, and managing the fleet capital replacement programs. The Business Analysis Team Leader will be managing the financial and reporting aspects of the department fleet capital forecast accuracy, fleet order management and model management and enhancement. The Business Analysis Team Leader will also lead the control environment for the Fleet Services vehicle & equipment replacement and planning process. The positon will provide functional reviews to insure ongoing compliance with accounting and procurement practices as it relates to the fleet capital replacement programs. The Business Analysis Team Leader will work closely with Utility Finance, Accounting, Internal Audit and external auditors in establishing and maintaining controls on financial reporting and fraud prevention. The Business Analysis Team Leader is expected to communicate with senior leadership regularly and represent the department at various meetings and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives for the process.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise the Fleet Capital Forecasting process and Forecast Accuracy and continuous improvement efforts for Transportation Services, which includes Quarterly Reporting and Analysis, for the Transportation Services Vehicle and Equipment purchase programs. Evaluate underlying assumptions and actual results to make informed, independent decisions pertaining to Fleet Capital replacement programs, budgetary compliance, plan forecast position and direction.
- Lead the effort with Accounting, Rates, and Utility Finance in establishing and maintaining controls on financial reporting and cost recovery filings.
- Provide governance and oversight of PSE&G’s Transportation Services Fleet Capital Forecast Management and financial reporting processes.
- Oversee functional reviews and provide support and oversight of internal audits. Conduct targeted internal reviews to insure ongoing compliance.
- Identify improvement opportunities across the Transportation Services based on process reviews and, recommend / implement solutions.
Job Specific Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Education or a related major
• At least 8 years of experience in Auditing, Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Project Controls or Continuous Improvement
• In lieu of a degree, must have 12 years of experience in Auditing, Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Project Controls or Continuous Improvement
• Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Advanced Excel, Power Point, Power BI and SAP skills Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical capability and financial acumen Ability to function / analyze with limited information
• Understanding of control concepts and expectations of external auditors Knowledge of Utility budget process

• MBA or advanced degree
