As a Business Analyst at Valorem Reply, you are a strategic consultant, working with customers to understand their business, their current problems, and their future opportunities. You have demonstrated the ability to see the “Big Picture”, driving positive changes within their organization and building trust along the way. A liaison between our delivery teams and our customers, you work collaboratively to create amazing customer experiences. Our consultants are nimble and think iteratively, embracing agile practices to bring value to our customers quickly. You use data to create stories that inform your business decisions. In short, you think of the customer’s business as your own.
Responsibilities
• Own the business relationship: Own the customer relationship, learning about the customer’s business, their tolerance for risk, the reward for solving their problems, and their long and short-term business goals. Be an advocate for their business while at the same time balancing what can and must be implemented to solve their problems and/or grow their business.
• Elicit requirements:Elicit requirements and resolve conflicts using customer interviews, requirements workshops, business cases, use cases, business process analysis, user feedback, analytics, etc
• Identify solutions:Be a driver within Valorem Reply, proactively communicating, collaborating, and educating to identify solutions that delight our customers.
• Document solutions: Organize, harmonize, critically evaluate, decompose, and simplify business needs into a set of clear, understandable, and technology agnostic business requirements and user acceptance criteria.
• Manage the work:Own or assist managing a product backlog, including the mapping of features and user stories to ensure logical and continuous product improvement. Create, manage, and own epics, features, and user stories (includes creating acceptance criteria using Gherkin and/or other methods, documenting testing considerations, and ensuring stories meet the definition of ready for development).
• Liaison to development teams: Proactively communicate and collaborate with all internal stakeholders to educate and explain the business value of the work that you are asking dev teams to deliver.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology; MIS, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years consulting experience in a Business Analyst role
- Minimum 3 years in a Business Analyst role working with digital platforms, e-commerce web sites, digital analytics, etc.
- Experience working on Agile teams (Scrum, Lean, Kanban, DevOps, etc.)
Desired Experience
- Experience leading requirements gathering meetings with external customers
- Minimum 3 years translating requirements into solutions
- Minimum 3 years working on web application development
- Minimum 3 years working in agile/scrum environment
- Minimum 3 years writing user stories and acceptance criteria
$80,000 – $125,000 a year
The base compensation range for this full-time position is between $80,000- $125,000 plus benefits. Compensation decisions are supported through market data, where regional variances may exist based on cost of labor. We also take into consideration prior experience, relevant skills, education and/or training, certifications and, as applicable, other required qualifications.
