Overview
As a BUSINESS ANALYST II at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), within the Data organization you will be an excellent communicator who instills confidence, thinks creatively, and is able to initiate and develop alternative approaches to complex issues. You will have in-depth experience with SQL/Python and experience in analytics and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of Fanatics Betting and Gaming.
- Develop a strong understanding of Sports Betting regulations, Accounting, Finances, and Taxes.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders in engineering, legal & compliance, accounting, finance, taxes, and external regulatory authorities.
- Design and develop BI solutions according to industry best practices.
- Be a hands-on analyst.
- Gather and present insights metrics and activities to key stakeholders, becoming a trusted source of intelligence and advisory over time.
- Remain current on technology and trends in data analytics and the sports betting & gaming world.
- Must be open to occasional travel to Fanatics Betting & Gaming offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team building activities.
Qualifications
- Basic analytical skills, with ability to extract data from prepared sources and transform it into both ad-hoc and structured continuous insights
- Strongly preferred to have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field or equivalent years of experience.
- 3+ years of experience in analytics, compliance, finance or related fields.
- Prior experience in DBT, Snowflake is a huge plus.
- Takes complete ownership of their deliverables.
- Knowledge of Compliance and Audit preparedness.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to partner closely with engineers and stakeholders, earning trust and prioritizing relationships.
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to gather, evaluate and analyze relevant information while structuring material in a logical and coherent manner.
- Ability working in high-growth environments.
- Highly outcome oriented and data driven.
- Experience in reporting tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
- In-depth experience with SQL and Python.
- Positive and flexible attitude, a willingness to embrace new initiatives and develop expertise in the Operations function of the business.
- Thrives in an entrepreneurial, hyper growth environment where priorities evolve regularly and decisions are made quickly.
- Team-first mentality, with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done and a desire to strive for better.
- Proven ability to work effectively cross-functionally within FBG and the larger Fanatics organization.

The expected salary range for this role is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award. *Salary range is listed in USD; ranges will vary based on location.
