Summary
The Business Office Manager provides financial and administrative support to the Business Office and the institution. Their role is to complete payments, control expenses by receiving payment, plus processing, verify and reconcile invoices, and the day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Functions
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintains the workflows and documentation of student accounts. Serves as backup for Accounts Payable and purchasing as needed. Maintain a detailed procedure guide for the duties of this position. Assist in year-end audits. The candidate will learn most aspects of the Business Office and other duties as assigned.
The person in this position will work closely with the Director of Business Office Services, the Financial Aidoffice, Student Services, the Veterans Affairs office, and Workforce Continuing Education. The ideal candidate should be able to work collaboratively with a variety of different people and departments. The ideal candidate should be able to set and maintain personal goals and deadlines on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. The ideal candidate should be able to recognize long-term projects and maintain a timeline for when work should be completed, as well as manage and direct the day-to-day work of the cashier(s). as deemed appropriate and/or necessary by upper management .
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Business or Accounting. At least two years experience in Business Administration and/or Office management. Shows initiative and strong work ethic. Excellent communication skills, and good problem-solving skills in a Business Office setting. Must possess an outgoing and encouraging
personality.
