Department Overview

The Coworkers of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E’s electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.

Position Summary

Conducts research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations. Participates in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives. Develops, manages and coordinates performance and quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication and training.

Job Responsibilities

  • Closely collaborates with dispatch, scheduling, field leadership teams, and business partners to support the reporting of plans, processes, or projects.
  • Facilitates and reviews all data request responses/responsibilities to ensure consistency
  • Performs analysis on complex data models requiring customized reports and data.
  • Manages small to mid-size projects.
  • Executes configuration and administrative functions within the WFM scheduling tool.
  • Develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations. Presents findings and recommendations to leaders.
  • Responsible for proactively managing operational compliance and escalating exceptions.
  • Develops communication plans. Ensures target audience is fully educated and adheres to program policies, processes, procedures.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although, we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Annual Minimum: $95,000.00

Annual Maximum: $143,000.00

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
  • Four (4) years of related work experience.

Desired:

  • Comprehensive understanding of utility operations and work execution processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience managing programmatic work.
  • Prior experience developing partnerships with external stakeholders for work execution.
  • Analytical and creative problem solving, strategic decision-making ability.
  • Broad knowledge of project/program management, process improvement best practices, concepts, methods, and techniques.
