Position Summary:
The Business Intelligence Architect facilitates the adoption and use of enterprise data to enable and improve business operations and decision-making capability with data driven insights and solutions. This position advises on best practices for life cycle management of the BI environment, works with leadership to develop and refine a BI strategy around security, governance, and adoption, and contributes to development of specific BI reports and dashboards. The Business Intelligence Architect engages with stakeholders to gain an understanding of their BI goals and objectives and supports the development of data architecture, standards, principles and processes to deliver successful outcomes.
As Business Intelligence Architect you will:
– Write specifications, develop architectural concepts and artifact and contribute to technology and data infrastructure roadmaps, platforms and standards
– Establish standard consumption/provisioning processes, analyze and validate and align data warehouse contents (key dimensions and facts) relative to source enterprise systems and consumption patterns
– Provide thought leadership, best practices, and standards related to effectively managing an analytics technology platform based on Power BI and an Enterprise Data Warehouse on SQL Server Database
– Advise, evaluate, implement and measure the effectiveness of solutions and approaches based on quantitative usage data and qualitative discussions with end-users and business stakeholders
– Architect, design, build, and maintain solutions to meet global business needs for reports and dashboards aligned with firm security and compliance policies
– Advise leadership in establishing and refining a firm wide analytics governance and adoption strategy
– Pro-actively monitor & report on the BI platform, provide visibility into resource utilization, identify and recommend areas of improvement
– Partner with stakeholders to understand their specific reporting needs and requirements, and develop interactive reports and dashboard using the Microsoft Power BI platform
– Evaluate and report on effectiveness and usability of solutions based on quantitative usage data and qualitative discussions with end-users and stakeholders
– Coordinate with technical team in specifying data needs for solutions and provide associated ETL requirements for Data Warehouse, Data Mart, SharePoint List, or other structured data sources
– Provide platform oversight and implement industry best practices for operational excellence and Agile product development lifecycle methodologies
– Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements and assist in developing logical data models and solution design specifications
– Collaborate with data architect(s) to identify systems of record for key enterprise data, define data cleansing and completeness processes for source systems
– Provide meaningful feedback and coaching of technical and non-technical team members in appropriate use of Microsoft analytics technologies
Job Specifications:
– At least ten (10) years of related work experience
– At least five (5) years of experience with data visualization and implementing high-value solutions
– Advanced knowledge of Microsoft analytics technologies
– Advanced knowledge of analytics data management concepts and techniques
– Advanced Knowledge of SQL and database concepts
– Knowledge of other M365 technologies
– Knowledge of change management around adopting a large-scale analytics program
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Strong analytical and organizational skills
– Ability to work in an agile development environment
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment

Expected Pay Range in Los Angeles & Orange County $131,000 – $167,000
Expected Pay Range in San Francisco & Silicon Valley $149,000 – $190,000
Expected Pay Range in New York $143,000 – $183,000

Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWE provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
