Business Intelligence Engineer, AWS Marketplace

We are looking for a creative and curious Business Intelligence Engineer to help own our next generation of reporting and modeling tools. You will own the development and evolution of analyses, dashboards and forecasts supporting a rapidly growing Product and Engineering organization. In this role you will partner closely with Product, Engineering and Finance teams to define and deliver on a long-term roadmap and own delivery of the same. You will be responsible for evangelizing data throughout the product lifecycle and surfacing prescriptive insights. The ideal candidate is curious, intuitive and eager to innovate.

Responsibilities:

– Engage with Product and Engineering to drive and implement critical metrics, forecasts and analyses. This role will largely focus on decision science and scaling our strategic insights to business leadership.

– Define and deliver concise and actionable data visualizations.

– Develop insights for internal stakeholders to help them better understand their AWS Marketplace business performance.

– Build and maintain basic ETL pipelines from a variety of sources

– Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 4+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

– Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

– Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

– Experience writing complex SQL queries

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

– Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis

– Experience working as a BIE in a technology company

– Bachelors Degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
