A leading tech company is seeking a Business Manager. The successful candidate will partner across organizations, incl. Engineering and other finance teams to identify and drive engineering efficiencies to meet gross margin goals. The ideal candidate has prior experience working in a detail-oriented (Excel) workspace and clear communications. The company offers a great work environment!
Business Manager Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $30/hr

Business Manager Responsibilities:
- Organization budget management: conduct financial analysis to provide health of business readouts and trends, and articulate those findings to finance and engineering leadership to support decision-making.
- Rhythm of business: drive regular key performance indicator reviews, and support the finance rhythm of business. In addition, PCN/Headcount management for the team and admin team.
- Help create; drive and support cross-org people projects and initiatives.
- Partner closely with stakeholders across the team, along with talent acquisition and recruiting, to set and manage people and non-people targets.
- Streamline business processes across the business, optimizing for quality, efficiency, and effective resource management. Includes the development of new business processes and tools to continuously improve organizational efficiency.
- Create and manage the rhythm of business (ROB), including business reviews, technical reviews, annual planning, leadership staff meetings, cross-organizational business reporting, etc. to help the business and technology development run smoothly and effectively.
- Drive operational Excellence across the organization, planning, implementing, and monitoring projects that improve team efficiency
- Work across a wide group of stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality, and consistent completion of business operation activities across the org to achieve overall business and cultural priorities.
- Develop high-impact communications for executive, manager-level, and organization-wide audiences.
- Develop and manage organizational assets including Walking decks, Org. Policies & Procedures, Team websites, SharePoint sites, and Teams channels.
- Lead and execute organization-wide strategic initiatives and change management projects.
- Streamline reporting goals, develop, and maintain comprehensive KPIs for product development, cost, efficiencies, schedule, and influence internal stakeholders on KPIs.
- Drive Employee Engagement efforts including but not limited to Recognition, Awards, and Feedback programs/surveys, Poll and People Planning efforts across the org to achieve overall business and cultural priorities.
- Lead and orchestrate Resource Management, Planning and FY Priorities process.
- Plan and organize content for All hands meetings, Offsites, meetings and Business Reviews.
- Drive our University Engagement efforts and support end to end process.
- Partner with other stakeholders within the team and the organization to manage and drive special projects.
Business Manager Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working in a detail-oriented (Excel) workspace and clear communications.
- 2+ years of prior experience working within a Business Manager role.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, operations, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience working in a detail-oriented (Excel) workspace and clear communications.
- MSFT experience is preferred.
- Experience in business management, operations, finance, or product/program management with a track record of increasing the scope of roles and responsibilities.
- Relevant experience with engineering environments working on rhythm-of-business activities, business operations, business management, finance, or other similar environments is preferred.
- Cross-functional program management/technical program management experience is required.
- Self-starter with strong financial and analytical skills is preferred.
- Excellent written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills are preferred.
- Demonstrate the ability to simplify and manage complex business and technology topics is preferred.
- Proven capabilities to drive positive business results through cross-group collaboration and partnerships is preferred.
- Outstanding cross-functional project management skills to organize a busy workload and deliver projects on time is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, passion for strategic thinking and problem solving, and ability to deliver rich, business insights to drive business decisions is preferred.
