The Business Manager position is an L7 role that supports and reports directly into the VP Global Brand and Marketing in executing their role of delivering the most relevant, breakthrough, and performative fixed marketing at Amazon with a positive ROI on $X.XB investment annually. They help represent the VP, central XCM, and our work to our team, stakeholder, and Steam customers within Amazon. They are an important member, coordinator, and collaborator to the VP’s Leadership Team and when needed, Stakeholders and Steam customers. The business manager role is distinct and different from the executive assistant role. They will work in close coordination but their roles are not the same, as the EA is focused on calendar coordination, schedule, travel and office management. The business manager should make time, information and decision making more effective for the VP, and should yield for the business manager a chance to learn and grow their career at a faster rate inside Amazon with great performance. The role must operate with full discretion and confidentiality at all times. Finally, the role should be an extension of the VP and help the VP be a force multiplier of communication and delegation across the company.
Key job responsibilities
– Organize & Coordinate: organize and coordinate ideas, projects, people and the resources necessary to keep XCM moving forward.
– Communicate: communicate the vision, ideas, projects or process for necessary people. This includes creating content or advising on content, providing context and helping to connect the dots across the VP’s direct Leadership team, stakeholders, and customers.
– Delegate & Extend: projects and tasks to the appropriate people, support the work and help hold them accountable to the results.
SPECIFICALLY:
– Build and run cadence for leadership meetings and leadership off sites, including owning an annual tops-down calendar of events and key BR inputs such as OP1.
– Lead cross functional strategic initiatives, facilitate special projects and ensure action & accountability on behalf of the VP, in partnership with VP Global Brand and Content who is the key exec sponsor of strategy on the XCM team.
– Operate at a tactical, strategic and operational level, overseeing or handling projects depending on the context, timing or project area.
– Coordinate between Leadership team members, stakeholder teams that do not fit neatly into an org chart or require cross functional work and support.
– Acts as an extension of the VP to funnel information, filter work/requests, and facilitate internal and external stakeholders.
– Promote Team Integration.
– Track High priority initiatives & KPI’s / outcomes in partnership with Director of Global Media and Operations
– Serve as thought partner / advisor as appropriate, and provide VP a sense of the company and XCM team culture and dynamic at ground level.
– Provide analysis and recommendation on key topic areas.
– Set expectations and act as a translator to staff, when necessary.

We are a small but mighty team of 200 strategic and creative business leaders who make and deliver our customers most loved marketing campaigns for North America and the world.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 10+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
– Experience managing teams
– Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
– Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
– Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in traditional and emerging media channels including TV, OOH, cinema, digital display, online video and paid social
– Experience leading across multiple locales

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $232,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
