The role:

As the Business Operations Director for the People Team, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and operational success of the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing various aspects of our business operations, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and collaboration across departments. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive process improvements, strategic initiatives, and prioritization efforts to ensure operational excellence.

What you’ll do:

  • Operational Excellence: own the comprehensive operational People Team strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives, ensuring efficient and effective processes across the team.
  • Strategic Planning: lead the People Leadership Team through annual strategic planning
    • Sound and effective strategic planning process that drives effective prioritization. Ensure operational excellence of strategic priorities and normal course of business.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration and communication among various departments to improve cross-functional processes, streamline workflows, and optimize resource allocation. Ensure an integrated approach from the People organization that optimizes for adoption and clarity for the end user.
  • Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains, and lead initiatives to implement these improvements.
  • KPI Tracking: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Resource Management: Manage resource allocation and capacity planning to ensure optimal utilization of company resources.
  • Budget Oversight: Collaborate with finance teams to establish and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost control and resource allocation alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Communication: Prepare regular updates for the executive leadership team and board of directors on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, human resources, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a business operations/program management role for HR, in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Exceptional leadership and cross-functional relationship management abilities, with a proven ability to drive change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Experience in the fintech/banking industry is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.

Pay range: $136,800.00 – $209,000.00

Payment frequency: Annual
