Business Operations / FP&A Analyst

Location: Hybird – preferred to be based out of Irving, TX (also open to Remote – West Coast).

Must be eligable to work in the US without visa sponsorship or transfer.

Summary –
The Business Operations / FP&A Analyst provides strategic business analysis services for the Biometrics Business Unit.

In this role, you will work closely with the business, accounting, and other corporate functions to gain in-depth understanding of processes, services, and the context in which the business operates. Plan and implement the right processes, financial controls, and practices across the organization. Adjusts processes and policies to meet strategic objectives and align with business priorities. Provides reporting and analysis to management and updates on progress or problems until resolved. Must be strong in budgeting, finance and project management.

  • Day to day will be extracting data from SAP, transferring that data to Excel (must have expert level with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP Ups).
  • Must have experience with Record to Report (R2R), understand the input and outputs. Needs to know how Accounts Payable (AP) impacts cost and cost impacts profit.
  • Must have experience with Project Accouning including estimates at completion (EAC) and percentage of completion (POC). Must also know about estimate to complete (ETC), completed contract method (CCM) and understand the concept of time and material (T&M).
  • NICE TO HAVE – know the projects modules of SAP and service module of SAP.

Duties and Responsibilities –

  • Works under general direction, provides complex operations and administrative support for the business unit. Compiles a variety of operating, financial and statistical information as needed to respond to management requests.
  • Facilitates process improvement by engaging appropriate resources in issue identification and resolution. Develops recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations and communicates with other departments as necessary.
  • Establishes processes to share knowledge and implement process improvements. Recommends revised controls and implements improvements as approved by management.
  • Works with appropriate departments to define and implement accounting standards for complex transactions or special projects. Reviews and monitors department processes and procedures to identify opportunities to improve service delivery to internal customers.
  • Leads and facilitates communication of best practices, policies, procedures, and initiatives to support operations. Prepares and provides training and reference material to assist users.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex inquiries and requests from internal and external clients.
  • Manages cross-functional interfaces and coordinates all functions to ensure that optimal business plans are developed and executed throughout the organization.
  • Ensures adherence to legal and operation compliance requirements.
  • Oversee and manage the operational aspect of ongoing projects and serve as a liaison between project management and planning, project team and management.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex inquiries and requests.

Prerequisites –
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from four-year college or university.

Experience: Minimum of five years related work experience to include budgeting, finance, project accounting and management and or business analytics; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications, Licenses, etc: CPA is nice to have, but not a requirment.

  • Spreadsheet skill set to include advanced functions such as graphics and pivot tables
  • SAP Finance and Operations experience is Strongly Preferred

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 to $98,000; depending upon the selected candidate’s relevant experience, the exact salary for the role may fall outside of this range. This role will also be eligible to participate in the Company’s bonus/incentive program(s).
