Overview
The position reports directly to the Assistant General Manager and Director of Finance and will manage many aspects of the day-to-day business operations of Mullett Arena and Mountain America Community Iceplex. This position will interact with partipcants, guests, tenants and promoters and requires the ability to communicate with a focus on delivering a world class guest experience.
This role will pay a wage of $50,000 to $80,000.

About the Venue
The Facilities Division of OVG360 has an exciting opening for a Business Operations Manager on the campus of Arizona State University for the new 5,000 seat multi-purpose arena and community ice rink. The new Mullett Arena opened in the fall of 2022 and is the home to ASU Sun Devil Men’s Ice Hockey, ASU Club Hockey, ASU Wrestling programs, NHL Arizona Coyotes and a variety of events, including concerts, family shows, comedy and other live events. The new community ice rink serves as a public venue to the community and hosts hockey and skating programming, youth competitions, educational opportunities and more.
Responsibilities
- Managing day to day administrative operations and performing various supervisory office support related tasks
- Employee oversight, customer admissions, finance management and reporting, event coordination, and skate rental.
- Implement online registration/ POS operation system for ice rink programs and events
- Oversight of daily reconciliation of digital transactions
- Supervise and schedule part time employees
- Responsible for implementing and leading training sessions and meetings for staff
- Coordinate logistics and maintain booking of programs/ events documents & calendars
- Create weekly task work for scheduled staff
- Coordinate and attend special events, corporate events, and birthday parties
- Responsible for generating reports under the direction of the Executive team
- Assist Executive team in administrative duties as needed
- Provide building support, as necessary as manager on duty
- Assist in A/P for Mullett Arena and Iceplex
- Record daily deposits for Iceplex transactions
- Assist Director of Finance with duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- BA Degree desired, previous work history may substitute for degree
- 3-5 years Experience with and general functions of an Ice Arena
- Knowledge of supervisory principles, with emphasis in working with and training part-time staff
- Must be able to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules: including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Audio/Video and information technology
- Experience with creating, promoting, and managing recreational programs
- Creating and maintaining program calendars and activity schedules/ flyers in house and electronically
