Protective Services Business Operations is looking for a detail-oriented and professional Program Manager to support an internal service to support our procurement and vendor management program, including opening, tracking and managing purchase orders, invoices, and vendor setups. The successful candidate will work across multiple parts of a matrixed organization to understand their procurement and vendor management needs and requirements. This position is an integral part of the Business Operations team and will partner on other Business Operations programs as needed.
Key job responsibilities
• Apply project management skills and relationship building skills to partner with Protective Services teams to ensure the effective and efficient management of all purchase order launch and tracking to approval.
• Develop deep partnerships with Protective Services teams and act as liaison with Finance Business Partners on invoice management.
• Support the Protective Services teams by assisting with vendor management needs including utilizing internal tools to onboard new vendors into Amazon systems and manage existing vendor information.
• Partner with the Business Operations team to provide procurement and vendor management data for standard monthly and quarterly business reviews with leadership.
• Support other Business Operations programs on an ad hoc basis
A day in the life
• Partner with Amazonians at all levels and in all areas of the Protective Services organization to research and launch all purchase orders
• Utilize multiple Amazon internal tools to support both Protective Services teams and their vendors on accurate invoicing of all purchase orders
• Be first point of contact for team members needing to set up new vendors into the Amazon internal tools for vendor management and building partnerships with external vendors.
• Run reports out of multiple Amazon internal tools to provide all procurement metrics to be included in quarterly/monthly business reviews with senior leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of program or project management experience
– 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
– Excel at an Advanced Level (Pivot Tables & VLookUps)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
– 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
– Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
– Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
– Knowledge of Purchase Order/Invoicing/Vendor Management practices

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
