As a program manager, you will take the initiative to collaborate with various technical teams within our Customer and Retail Technology (ST) teams and key business partners across our PMO, Finance and Sourcing/Procurement teams on highly innovative and complex, cross-functional programs, processes and deliverables, that will enable our technology teams to bring amazing customer experiences to Starbucks customers and partners.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Develops project plans, objectives and schedules that support company objectives and CTR business unit/department needs
- Works with the stakeholders and cross-functional partners to define the scope, business objectives and required project results, specifically as it relates to project/program financial performance tracking and analysis and digital operating model
- Understand how to support a product office
- Communicates program and project status, risk/issues and opportunities to participants and stakeholders accurately and on time
- Partners will with other business units to help mature systems thinking
- Manages programs and projects to design, develop and implement new systems in project execution, ensuring compliance with established company standards. Ensures that all program and project documentation is completed accurately and on time
- Partners with other project managers to improve overall organizational competencies in project management and drive best practices
- Works cross-functionally with Information Technology partners, business partners, suppliers and other teams to ensure successful completion of programs and projects
You will bring 5-7 years’ experience in systems thinking, executive and cross functional communication, shipping visible large cross functional initiatives, processes and/or programs and will have the following responsibilities, knowledge, and skills:
Summary of Specific Experience:
- Development, deploying and supporting large scale solutions that enable better business analysis and decision making, driven by facts and data
- Working with process owners and identifying information technology solutions that enable business process improvements (min 5 years)
- Working with and supporting technical teams in an Agile development model
- Proficiency in business analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Leadership and Communication:
- You lead by example – with compassion, courage, consistency, and confidence

- You are flexible and can accommodate diverse personality styles and remain neutral and balanced in all interactions

Technical Skills:
- You are an expert at Program/Project Management
- Agile Software Development Lifecycle funding knowledge a plus and eager to advise and guide your peers; PMP Certification a plus
- Your Knowledgeable in Jira, Confluence and/or similar Reporting Tools (Tableau) and at least one program portfolio management tool, e.g. MS Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a senior project manager and/or program manager in IT or a software development setting; must have at least five years overall experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, FInance or Management preferred.
- PMP, PgMP, and Scrum Master Certifications are a plus.
- Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
