Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Results Delivery Office (RDO) drives transformation and builds critical capabilities that enable Amgen to respond to rapid advancements in science and technology within a rapidly changing business environment.
We are looking for a Business Performance Senior Manager to join our team of leaders and liaisons, working on these high priority initiatives that drive value through simplification of Amgen’s largest, cross-functional, end-to-end processes.
The Business Performance Senior Manager will report into the Enterprise Transformation function within RDO and will be assigned to the development and execution of one or more transformation initiatives related to end-to-end processes spanning Operations, R&D, Commercial, and/or Corporate functions.
Key activities:
- Thought partner with Transformation Lead and Business Team members to problem solve, ideate solutions, build business cases, develop operational plans, and execute through implementation
- Contribute to development of key deliverables and presentation materials that facilitate decision making with senior leaders.
- Support phase-appropriate change management planning and execution activities
- Liaise across transformation and business teams, and manage escalation of issues as needed
- Identify, design, and deliver appropriate transformation capabilities and tools
- Support the design and execute working sessions/workshops

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Scientific and/or Operations and/or Business experience
Or
Master’s degree and 4 years of Scientific and/or Operations and/or Business experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Scientific and/or Operations and/or Business experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 10 years of Scientific and/or Operations and/or Business experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Scientific and/or Operations and/or Business experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ of experience in Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical industry
- 6+ years’ of cross-functional consulting, project management, and/or Liaison experience
- Experience at a top tier Management Consulting Firm
- Strong presence with Senior Executives
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to storyline and prepare executive-level discussion documents
- Excellent conceptual problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically scope problem solving approach, and lead execution
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to influence different styles
- Experience as a member of a robust team

The annual salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $136,544 – $158,137.
