Under the direction of the Director, Business Process Management, the Business Process Manager evaluates, designs, executes, measures, and ensures appropriate controls are in place for automated and non-automated business processes to achieve consistent, targeted results aligned with strategic goals. Works collaboratively across the organization to help improve management of a business process, focusing on innovation, controls, and metrics that impact results and assist the organization in meeting its goals and objectives with more agility.

Road Scholar offers a remote-first work environment. The compensation range for this exempt level salaried position is $110,000 – $115,000.

You will…

  • Partner with business managers in identifying and evaluating opportunities for improvement by contributing towards solving process-related challenges and creating business processes to accomplish specific business objectives
  • Lead and/or participate in high-impact cross functional business process projects that seek to achieve the business goals of the organization
  • Challenge existing thinking around organizational design/structure and ways of working to discover underlying drivers and mental models behind current design
  • Analyze the make-up of business processes and activities to ensure business processes are established to enable easy achievement of business goals
  • Facilitate teamwork to critically review current processes and procedures for effectiveness, quality, and simplification
  • Measure, monitor, and provide feedback on performance of business processes
  • Assist with construction of a business process methodology toolkit and practice standards for team

You need…

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or project management or any related field
  • Minimum of ten years of experience that includes:
    • 5 years professional experience in operations management including direction of staff, development of processes and procedures, monitoring and controlling of business activities, and implementing broad change initiatives
    • 5 years leading process and performance improvement engagements with demonstrated success in improving the ability of business to deliver on its goals
  • Lean certified or Lean/Six Sigma black belt certified andPMI PMP certification or equivalent years of experience a plus
  • Aptitude for business management, awareness of the impact of culture and structure on underlying process design and understanding of problem solving for the greater good
  • Perseverance in implementing improvement initiatives and challenging entrenched practices; skilled in change management tools and techniques
  • Mastery of current state process analysis and future state business design
  • Expertise to design solutions that address systemic problems and system-level causes
  • Exceptional communication and meeting facilitation skills
  • Proficiency in executing analysis through leveraging BPM techniques, concepts, and tools such as Lean, DMAIC
  • Highly-skilled in identifying, detecting, and creating business processes that serve to further the organization’s goals and in retiring those that do not
  • Expertise to design solutions that address systemic problems and system-level causes
  • Terminological sensitivity and exceptional capability to develop clear, consistent, and simple to understand processes and procedures
  • Ability to design and assist in implementation of benchmarking and performance measures
  • Exceptional communication and meeting facilitation skills
  • Ability to discern between work instructions/procedures and business process steps
  • Demonstrated competency managing projects from concept creation through implementation; adept at facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, milestones, deliverables, detailed tasks and resource requirements, management of user expectations, and working collaboratively across the enterprise
