The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Business Rules Analyst – Oracle EPM. This person will have three years of proven ability building reports in Oracle Cloud EPM Financial Reporting, and two years of experience supporting and participating in customer consultation, needs assessment, requirements translation and prescription of Oracle Cloud EPM solutions. The Senior Business Rules Analyst – Oracle EPM will also have experience building and supporting technology transformations to Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS) solutions, and applies methodologies, prepares detailed specifications and related documentation.

This Senior Business Rules Analyst is a hybrid work type and can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Charlotte, NC; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Colorado Springs, CO; Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. Hybrid roles help employees gain the best of both worlds – collaborating in-person in the office and working from home when needed to achieve focused results.

What you’ll do:

  • Identifies and leads existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
  • Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
  • Designs and modifies application rules and configurations to facilitate business user needs. Serves as liaison to IT to ensure adequate execution of business user needs.
  • Serves as Subject Manager Expert for systems supported in business functions, to include researching data lineage and managing end-to-end data integration points for source to target of financial data.
  • Leads teams on project management, system organizational change, business rules and analysis and development, product development, product maintenance, service delivery and changes to existing systems/applications.
  • Coordinates and leads project enhancements to benefit business users.
  • Ensures change control processes and procedures encompass and/or adhere to enterprise or industry guidelines or standard processes.
  • Reviews post implementation documentation for lessons learned and recommends procedural or process updates for future initiatives.
  • Facilitates and designs business testing to ensure adequate user performance across system supported.
  • Provides domain expertise in development of creative solutions for business requirements or product offerings; advises on strategic and tactical solutions.
  • Works with LOBs, vendors, and other internal resources to define business requirements and coordinate system enhancements to achieve LOB, CoSA or enterprise objectives.
  • Analyzes options to figure out the best course of action to resolve or prevent future system outages or production issues.
  • Presents recommendation and performs required actions.
  • Provides guidance to staff and assists management with workflow/workload schedule.
  • Summarizes insights from analysis and use findings to develop business rules

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 6 years of experience consulting with customers/partners, understanding business needs, and translating needs into requirements and prescribing technology solutions, including 3 years of experience in cost benefit analysis methodologies and tools; OR Advanced degree in Information Management, Information Studies or related field with 4 years of experience consulting with customers/partners, understanding business needs, and translating needs into requirements and prescribing technology solutions, including 1 year of experience in cost benefit analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering and authoring Business Requirements and solutions for projects.
  • Advanced written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, social skills, and solid attention to detail.
  • Validated knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance, industry regulations, risk management practices, and regulatory data sources.

What sets you apart:

  • Three (3) years of proven ability building and supporting Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS) solutions, including Cloud Data Management (CDM) for data movement and mapping. Required
  • Three (3) years of experience building reports in Oracle Cloud EPM Financial Reporting. Required
  • Two (2) years of experience supporting and participating in customer consultation, needs assessment, requirements translation and prescription of Oracle Cloud EPM solutions. Required
  • Experience building and supporting technology transformations to Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS) solutions.
  • Experience building reports in Oracle Cloud EPM Narrative Reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

What we offer:

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $86,520 – $165,340

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
