Summary

This position will be responsible for supporting the Business Strategy Team’s initiatives. As the Business Strategy Specialist, you will regularly compile KPIs of Kia North America (Kia NA) respective subsidiaries and analyze their industry trends and sales status. You will also generally manage retail and wholesale business plans, utilizing resources and outputs such as sales forecasts and results of each Kia NA’s subsidiary. Understanding and analyzing both the market and economic trends are also part of responsibility. The Business Strategy Specialist will also play a part in submitting reports on Kia NA’s market and sales status and refining them into further analysis.

Major Responsibilities

1st Priority – 45%

  • Research and prepare weekly report for corporates’ market profile report (macroeconomic, industry, market, consumer trend and Kia NA subsidiaries’ weekly sales status)
  • Integrating and administrating Kia NA (daily/monthly/quarterly/annual) sales and market status
  • Administrating subsidiaries’ business plans and analyzing sales forecasts and results
  • Collecting materials for the meetings between Kia NA and Kia Headquarters (Kia HQ)/Subsidiaries/other divisions

2nd Priority – 45%

  • Supporting Kia NA operations by integrating and analyzing subsidiaries and other North American market related issues
  • Resolving and processing issues
  • Investigating the operation of KUS/KCA/KMX in accordance with conditions of the sales/manufacturing subsidiaries

3rd Priority – 10%

  • Business Strategy Team’s other administration and coordinating tasks
    • Overall management of team’s general administrative(data/analysis/report) tasks
    • Coordination of tasks requiring collaborating/ between departments
    • Other ad-hoc(occasionally occurring) tasks that requires urgent matters

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • MBA or other advanced analytical degree or equivalent work experience a plus.

Overall Experience

  • Minimum 7 years academic + industry experience in data analysis, visualization and reporting, including advanced statistical and analytical techniques. Automotive industry preferred.

Directly Related Experience

  • Experience in creating reports, charts and graphs using Excel and PowerPoint as main software for analysis and presentation.
  • Experience in building, maintaining or utilizing business analytics dashboards preferred
  • Familiarity with automotive data systems (such as MarketView, S&P, PIN Explorer) a plus
  • Experience with management of competitive and business intelligence vendors required
  • Experience with additional analytical & database tools such as R, SPSS, SAS strongly preferred
  • English and Korean bilingual language proficiency preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be required domestically and/or internationally.
  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$81,361 – $93,113

Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
