The anticipated salary range for this role is between $96,000.00 and $143,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. General Summary:
We are a dynamic startup bank on a mission to revolutionize the financial industry through data-driven insights and innovation. We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our data program team and drive technical requirement development. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in understanding data program needs, translating them into technical specifications, and collaborating with the engineering team, which operates as an outsourced contractor, to deliver successful data solutions. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Program Needs Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders in the data program to understand their requirements and objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing data systems and processes to identify areas of improvement.
- Work with product owner to gather and document functional and technical requirements to guide data solution development.
Technical Requirement Development:
- Translate data program requirements into clear and detailed technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the product owner and engineering team to define data architecture and design innovative solutions.
- Ensure technical requirements align with data program goals and overall project objectives.
Requirements Documentation:
- Prepare well-organized requirement documents, including data use cases, user stories, and data flow diagrams.
- Maintain thorough documentation of technical specifications for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of requirements based on project progress and changes.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Work with the Product Owner to assist in translation of communication between data program stakeholders and the engineering team.
- Clarify technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ensure alignment with data program goals.
- Act as a bridge between data program needs and technical implementation, ensuring seamless coordination.
Quality Assurance and Testing Support:
- Collaborate with QA and testing teams to develop data test cases based on technical requirements.
- Review test results and provide feedback to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during testing and implementation.
Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor project progress and identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in business analysis and data solution development.
- Proactively propose innovative data solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data projects.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst with a focus on data programs and technical requirement development.
- Strong technical background with a solid understanding of data management principles and data architecture.
- Proficiency in requirement gathering and documentation techniques, including data use cases and data flow diagrams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address data project challenges.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional data teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on producing accurate and high-quality data deliverables.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take ownership of data tasks and drive results.
