The Opportunity
We’re searching for a Business Visa Associate to join our dynamic Travel & Expense team. The individual will provide business travel visa support for internal staff and cross-functional partners across the Americas. In addition, they will collaborate with Visa Associates in the EMEA and APAC regions to provide outbound visa and immigration support, ensuring a harmonized global approach.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Travel in Los Angeles, the Visa associate will work closely with other Visa and Travel Associates worldwide, aiming to offer a seamless and efficient experience for Netflix employees traveling for business purposes. This role can sit in our offices in Los Angeles or Los Gatos.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in visa and immigration advisory services. With a comprehensive understanding of visa requirements, this individual should be equipped to provide bespoke advice, catering to the distinctive needs of employees. Responsibilities:
- Visa Expertise: Advise on visa and immigration processes primarily for the Americas region and occasionally cover EMEA and APAC (training provided) Ensure accurate and timely submissions with third-party service providers.
- Keep abreast of changes and/or new regulations and implement processes/workflows to adapt.
- Documentation Coordination: Work with employees to gather and process necessary visa application materials.
- Strategic Planning: Craft and optimize regional visa strategies aligning with Netflix’s needs, adapting to business and legal shifts.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Establish communication with cross-functional teams, understanding visa requirements for upcoming projects and operational needs.
- Vendor Relations: Identify and manage relationships with visa and immigration service providers in the region, reviewing performance and renegotiating terms as required.
- Government Liaison: Build connections with relevant government departments, seeking clarification on visa policies, and championing Netflix’s interests.
- Issue Resolution: Act as the main contact for visa-related escalations, offering resolutions for denials or complications in the region.
- Training and Updates: Develop training as required on visa/immigration requirements and best practices in the region, and consistently update with the evolving immigration landscape.
- Innovation: Seek and implement innovative solutions to enhance the visa processes, including leveraging new technologies for efficient management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: You bring meaningful experience in immigration and business visa advisory roles, ideally within a legal department and/or multinational corporation.
- Expertise & Research: Your deep knowledge of immigration processes complements your ability to research international visa and immigration laws, staying updated with the latest changes. Familiarity with EMEA and APAC regions is an added advantage.
- Relationship Builder: You are able to build and cultivate relationships with stakeholders, team members and cross functional partners, e.g. legal and mobility.
- Detail & Organization: Your meticulous attention to detail complements your top-tier organizational skills, especially under tight deadlines.

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $60,000 – $290,000.
