Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a CADD Drafter/Designer in Chattanooga, Knoxville or Nashville, TN to support the roadway design team.
Working within our Architecture & Design teams, you assist to develop design solutions that meet or exceed client expectations and ensure compliance with national or local standards and codes of practice.
The role sits within our mobility business area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.
Role accountabilities:
The primary duties of the CAD Drafter/Designer are to develop engineering drawings, and to prepare designs from general instruction and/or preliminary sketches, diagrams, or schematics. The CAD Drafter/Designer will also be required to coordinate CAD projects with other discipline personnel and prepare/assemble project deliverables.
As a CAD Drafter/Designer you will plan and prepare preliminary layouts and detailed design drawings from general written or verbal specifications from the project team, sketches and/or other drawings, as well as prepare plan, section and detail to create preliminary figures and drawings.
The successful candidate will understand the life cycle of the project and manage personal workload on projects from start to finish and follow discipline-specific, client specific and/or company CAD standards. Time management will be essential to produce drawings on schedule with quality and clarity.
You will also work closely with other Drafters/Designers and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design.
Qualifications & Experience:

You are technically capable with experience maintaining the quality and consistency of CAD (i.e., designs, record drawings, symbology, connectivity, and annotation).
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of CAD Design experience required or Associates degree in Design/Drafting, a closely related field of study or a HS Diploma with equivalent years’ experience and continuing education coursework
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree

The salary range for this position is $46,800 – $70,200.
