Primary Function of Position:
Responsible for the general operation of Tut’s and Cravings to include food preparation and set up, ordering, menu planning, food cost, and purchase orders for vendors, cashier duties, and clerical duties as required. The Café Service Manager will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards. The Café Service Manager is expected to lead by example to uplift our team during peak business times.

Essential Job Functions:
- Manage a team of front of the house staff to include, but are not limited to: general training, scheduling, and general supervision.
- Responsible for daily deposits and correct operation of POS system.
- Ability to balance all daily and nightly drawers and POS.
- Collaborate with culinary arts and operations directors to coordinate student product sales in Tut’s and Cravings.
- Ensure service coverage for Cravings in the event of a team member absence.
- Ability to enforce and monitor all health, safety, and sanitation standards in their area.
- Oversee the set-up, product ordering, product rotation (FIFO) and inventory needs for all the snack areas, beverage cases and display cases.
- Ability to operate the cash register and drawer using the standard cashier procedures to include cash sales and receipts as well as daily reconciliation of the cash drawer.
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Collaboration with other departments to organize food for internal events.
- Ability to complete all inventory duties, including physical inventory, reconciling, receiving and inventory documentation as needed.
- Ability to maintain the weekly/monthly prime cost.
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of Tut’s facility.
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
- Ability to be present on the job as described under working conditions and contract details.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three to 5 years of restaurant/ front of the house experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and direction.
- Ability and desire to maintain/manage an efficient, well-organized product spaces.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment by prioritizing tasks and projects.
- ServSafe Manager Certification Required or the ability to obtain certification.
- Culinary certificate preferred.
- Ability to understand and meet critical deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft office components (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to consistently deliver superior customer service and work quality to internal and external customers.
- Strong flexibility, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage heavy workload and work outside of regular work schedule in order to accommodate special projects and departmental deadlines.
Working Conditions:
Long periods of standing, ability to lift 25lbs and 50lbs with assistance; low-level machine noise is encountered the majority of every day; extensive communication with internal and external customers. Will be required to work around sharp knives, hot stoves, and standard culinary equipment. Reliable, dependable, and punctual attendance. Organizational Relationship:
Full-time, non-exempt personnel position reports directly to the Executive Chef of Retail Operations.
Contract Details:
Twelve-month contract subject to annual renewal. Working days and hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00p.m. Time outside of regular work schedule may be required for special projects and departmental deadlines.
